The flutes on the petals are more numerous at the tip of the petals and extend half way to the midridge. This arrangement probably contributes to the shape of the petal being humped at mid-petal and cupped upward at the edge. The base color is pink with the midridge being beige on the petals but the pattern reverses on the sepals. The color darkens to a dusty rose in going toward the edge of the petals and sepals but becomes a yellow gold over the outter perimeter, matching that of the throat. Frequent alterations in the dusty rose to a yellow-gold color cause a speckling effect. Deep veins give the flower a sculpted look, particularly in the extensive throat area. A slight diamond dusting is apparent over the entire surface of the flower making it sparkle in the sun.
