The tight fit between the appearance of this daylily and it's pod parent coupled with it's larger size caused an immediate reference to the song this daylily is named after. While one refers to jeans the other results from genes. Being two inches larger than it's look alike parent, having a mauve pink base, purple to burgandy eye zone, and a yellow-gold throat and outer edge distinguishes it from it's pod parent and appears to be contributions from the pollen parent. A decrease in the intensity of the red tones become apparent when the flower is viewed in different lighting and is shown by the second picture. Pod and pollen fertile.
